Maureen M. Goodenow
Maureen M. Goodenow, PhD
Founder & CEO

Dr. Goodenow is a virologist and immunologist with over three decades of research experience in HIV-1 molecular biology, viral evolution, and host-pathogen interactions. She has held senior leadership positions at the National Institutes of Health, including as Chief of the Molecular HIV Host Interactions Section at NIAID. Her work spans HIV-1 genetics, antiretroviral therapy outcomes in pediatric populations, macrophage biology, and next-generation sequencing approaches for viral analysis. With more than 120 peer-reviewed publications, she brings deep expertise in translational HIV research and federal science policy to BioNova.

Li Yin
Li Yin, MD, PhD
Senior Scientist

Dr. Yin is a physician-scientist with expertise in immunology, virology, genomics, and bioinformatics, with a focus on multi-omics integration, biomarker discovery, and pediatric immune development. Over more than two decades at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Florida, she has led multidisciplinary research spanning host-pathogen interactions, immune repertoire analysis, and next-generation sequencing. Her work integrates molecular biology with computational approaches to advance translational research in infectious diseases and immunology.

Senior Data Analyst

Dr. Borkar is a biomedical data scientist with expertise in multi-modal transcriptomics, plasma biomarker profiling, and statistical genomics, with a focus on immune regulation in HIV and translational research.

Upasana Nepal, MS
Bioinformatician

Ms. Nepal is a bioinformatician with expertise in architecting scalable pipelines and implementing machine learning models to analyze complex biomedical data to accelerate therapeutic innovation and novel discoveries.
